The Human Response to the Opportunity of Faith in God 
(Rom. 10:17) Bro. James Strait

For we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus (the leaning of your entire human personality on Him in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness) and of the love which you (have and show)  for all the saints (God's consecrated ones )(Colossians 1:4 Amplified Bible).


I.  In order to have faith in God you must embrace the purpose of God. 
(Genesis 1:26-28).

A.  Let us make man in our image, after our likeness (Romans 8:28-30)

The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord.  It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord.  
(Matthew 10:24)

Till we all come in the unity of the faith, & of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.
(Ephesians 4:13)

B.  Let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, the fowl of the air, and over the cattle and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creepeth...

And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them 
(Deut. 28:13)

In your patience possess ye your soul (Luke 21:19)

C.  And God blessed them v.28 (Deut 28:2-4)

And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.  Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.  Blessed shalt be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.

D.  and God said unto them be fruitful vs. 28

Herein is my Father glorified that you bring forth fruit, so shall ye be my disciples.  Ye have not chosen me but I have chosen you and ordained you that you should go forth and bring forth fruit and that your fruit should remain, that whatsoever you shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you (John 15:8 and 16).

E.  And multiply and replenish the earth.  

And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven & in earth.  Go ye therefore, & teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:  Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you.
