The Miracle of a Mother 
(Genesis 3:20; 4:1)

I. She is a picture of the other side of God the Father. El Shaddai: Almighty God. A. She like God has given you life.

And the Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and man became a living soul 
(Genesis 2:7).

B. The baby receives without even asking everything necessary for life.

Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him 
(Matthew 6:8).

C. When the baby is resting asleep in the mother, she is working to meet all of his needs.

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus

D. The baby’s peace & security is maintained by the constant beat of his mother’s heart.

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee 
(Isaiah 26:3). 

E. The baby’s life is hidden in the life of the mother.

For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God 
(Colossians 3:3).

II. She has played the most important roles in your life.

A. In your faith. When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice and I am persuaded that in thee also 
( 2 Timothy 1:5). 

B. As your teacher. But continue in the things which thou hast learned, and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them. And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures which are able to make thee wise unto salvation thorugh faith which is in Christ Jesus 
(2 Timothy 3:14-15). 

C. As your guardian. She looks well to the ways of her house hold… 
(Proverbs 31:27). 

III. What can we give this miracle working mother?

A. Undying love and devotion. “From that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.” 

B. Honor. Honor thy Father and Mother that your days may be long upon the land… 

C. Blessings from kids and husband, recognition, praise, gifts from fruit of her hands.
